Product Overview

The HA4200-HPGe is a laboratory-grade gamma spectrometer integrating a high-purity germanium crystal, advanced preamplifier, low-background lead shield, high-stability Digital Multichannel Analyzer (MCA), and cryogenic cooling system. Paired with fully-featured gamma spectrum analysis software, it enables precise measurement and characterization of radioactive samples.

Applications

This instrument is used for radioactivity measurement of nuclear power, low-level samples (environmental, biological, food), inspection and quarantine, biomedicine, astrophysics and chemistry, geology, forensic science, archaeology, metallurgy, materials science, and many other scientific and social fields. The high-purity germanium gamma spectrometer is also specifically designed for nuclide identification and radiochemical purity testing of radiopharmaceuticals.

Features

  • Proprietary Spectrum Analysis Software: Integrates acquisition, control, analysis, and automated reporting. User-friendly interface supports one-click report generation.
  • Flexible Cooling System: Optional liquid nitrogen (LN₂) dewar or closed-cycle electric cooler. The recondensing system extends LN₂ refill intervals up to 24 months.
  • Low-Background Lead Shield: Background count rate < 2 cps (50 keV–2 MeV @ 50% relative efficiency). Features a sliding-top access door for easy sample placement.
  • Configurable Digital MCA: Optional 16k, 32k, or 64k channels to meet specific resolution requirements.
  • Source-Free Efficiency Calibration: Performs efficiency calibration for point, volumetric, planar, and Marinelli beaker geometries without standard sources. Supports elemental, compound, and mixed matrices; calculation error ≤ 3%.
  • Low Acoustic Noise: Noise level < 60 dB(A) at 1 m during full-power operation.
  • 3D Laser Scanning Modeling: Creates accurate 3D geometry models for import into the efficiency calibration software, ensuring high-accuracy results.
