Whole-Body Gamma Contamination Monitor
Product Overview
The RC1000-G is designed for radioactive contamination control at nuclear facilities, hospital nuclear medicine departments, radiopharmaceutical plants, and radioactive laboratories. It screens personnel exiting controlled zones for surface contamination on all body parts—including hands, feet, and head—displaying results in real time.
The unit incorporates multiple position sensors to guide personnel into the correct stance, using on-screen prompts and voice instructions. If contamination exceeds permissible limits, audiovisual alarms activate and the exit gate locks, preventing contaminated personnel from leaving. The system integrates with central management networks to enable remote real-time monitoring,serving as a critical barrier against radioactive dispersion to protect personnel and the environment.
Features
- Smart Contamination Interlock: Upon detecting contamination exceeding the threshold, the system triggers audiovisual alarms and physically locks the exit gate. This three-tier mechanism (real-time monitoring, over-limit warning, and physical interception) precisely blocks unauthorized passage.
- High Sensitivity: Large-volume plastic scintillation detectors deliver superior detection sensitivity.
- Ultra-Low False Alarm Rate: Advanced fluctuation analysis and real-time background subtraction effectively suppress false alarms.
- Precise Positioning: Multiple infrared sensors accurately detect and verify personnel stance.
- Automated Guidance: Integrated voice prompts and stance guidance enable unattended operation; the gate releases automatically upon passing screening.
- Configurable Alarms: Continuous alarm thresholds are adjustable, supported by distinct audible and visual alert modules.
- Multi-Server Data Upload: Measurement data can be uploaded to multiple servers for centralized, multi-site supervision.
- Customizable Configuration: Hardware options are available to meet specific site requirements.
